Mona Vale Medical Centre are your local Northern Beaches practice that can provide both recreational and commercial scuba dive medicals.
Scuba diving can be dangerous and even fatal if the diver has a pre-existing medical condition. Medical conditions or disorders may cause a diver to experience disorientation, impaired judgment, impaired mobility, unconsciousness or decompression sickness whilst they are underwater.
There are two types of Diving Medicals Examinations – Recreational and Commercial. Both take approximately 45 minutes and cost approximately $132 – $176 depending on the test type. The test includes hearing and eyesight tests, urine test, lung function test, taking blood pressure and height and weight, as well as the patient completing a medical questionnaire.
You must book an appointment with Dr Peter Saxon-Williams.
